Mother Teresa College of Agriculture (MTCA) offers a dedicated Agri Hostel that provides a safe, disciplined, and hygienic residential environment, fostering both academic excellence and holistic personal development of students.
Each hostel room is well furnished with essential amenities, including a cot, study table, and chair. Inventory verification is conducted at the time of admission to ensure transparency and accountability. The hostel provides purified drinking water, uninterrupted power supply through inverters, and maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the premises.
The hostel features a modern and hygienic mess equipped with steam cooking facilities, cold storage units, water purifiers, and spacious dining halls with granite tables. A Mess Committee, comprising students and staff, plans menus based on student feedback, ensuring nutritious, balanced, and quality meals. Continuous feedback mechanisms are in place to enhance food quality and service standards.
Strict hostel rules are enforced to maintain discipline, with a zero-tolerance policy towards alcohol and drugs. Regular sanitation practices and weekly mosquito control measures are carried out to ensure a safe and healthy living environment for residents.
The hostel is efficiently administered by a Hostel Executive Committee under the supervision of the Warden, Deputy Warden, Residential Tutors, and Coordinators, ensuring smooth operations and student welfare. Guest rooms are available to accommodate parents and visitors.
Room Allotment: Rooms are allotted by the Warden or Deputy Warden, generally on an alphabetical basis, and remain unchanged during the academic year.
Mandatory Mess Facility: All hostel residents must avail the mess facilities.
Monitoring: Student entry, exit, and attendance within the hostel premises are strictly monitored.
The Agri Girls’ Hostel at MTCA emphasizes safety, discipline, comfort, and overall well-being, creating an ideal residential atmosphere that effectively complements academic learning and personal growth.
